How To Learn And Make Aquascape
Simple but Special
Aquascape is a form of ecosystem / small marine life. Generally after Aquascape 2 months old, the ecosystem has begun to be created. There are four main factors in the Aquascape, ie lighting / lighting (replacement sun for photosynthesis), co2 for plants (too much co2 also cause the fish will often float to the surface, and can die), nutrients / fertilizers on crops, and filtration (filter for maintain water quality). It is also worth noting the water temperature is maintained between 26-28 degrees Celsius (if the water is too hot can occur because of algae boom rapid photosynthesis, plants and fish die, whereas if the water is too cold can also make some type of fish being passive), acidity water (pH) with a range of values 1 -14, ideally 7 (neutral), the mineral content in the water (Ca, Mg, Sr, Fe, Mn, etc.), and carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (o2) dissolved.
After reading about my own Aquascape immediately tried vigorously to create my own tank farm, in accordance with the imagination that I want, then I went to the hardware store Aquascape that is close to my house to be exact (Sekarwangi-Cibadak-sukabumi) and I bought the tool to make Aquascape like:
- Aquarium
- Light
- Filter
- Sand / Soil
- Basic fertilizer / Fertilizer
- Plant
- Fish
- CO2 (You can make your own)
- Fan / Chiller (if required)
Many of the notion that CO2 is optional, in which plants can grow without CO2. That is true, but like humans, CO2 is one of the sources for the growth and development of plants. While the amount of CO2 in the aquarium provided very little. So if we plant CO2 shortage is happening is a plant growth will be uninterrupted, dwarf, or even death. Please see the article DIY (Do it yourself) CO2 or CO2 own making to detail the manufacture of CO2. Sample Preparation Aquarium Aquascape
- Aquarium Size: 55x35x35 (67L)
- Light: 50W
- Temperature: 28 °
- Filters: Filters hanging
- CO2: Tubes with 1.5bps
- Fauna: Iriatherina werneri, Boraras maculatus Otocinclus affinis, Red Cherry, and Crystal Red
- Flora: Eleocharis acicular, Lilaeopsis mauritiana, Eleocharis geniculate, Juncus repens, Spiky moss, lichens Taiwan, moss and Hydrocotyle verticillata Flame.
- Hardscape: Stone + Wood
THE FIRST STEP:
Prepare the tank, use Styrofoam to base between the tank and the table, use Styrofoam in the tank if necessary (the use of stones taper in large quantities)
STEP TWO:
Sprinkle basic fertilizer, pumice or sand unfortunate. Basic fertilizer available in a variety of brands, JBL, Danerlee, Sera, Azoo etc. Add a small amount of active carbon or charcoal to prevent excessive nutrients and reduce algae outbreak at the first setup. Basic fertilizer required for plants that grow on the roots, if the plant is used in the form of moss, Riccia or other plants that are not plugged, then use basic fertilizer should be ignored.
STEP THREE:
Use the poor sand coarse / or pumice as well as a place to stay bacterial barrier and a rooting, the substrate is too dense will make the plants can not breathe and roots that lead to root rot and death of the plant.
STEP FOUR:
Add sand as a top media, use sand 2-3mm size to help rooting plants and facilitate the planting process. The sand is too coarse to be difficult to be planted, too sharp sand will injure plant roots and make a foul. Use sand that has been washed with clean in order to reduce the possibility of dirty aquarium with particles or dust.
STEP FIVE:
Please set hardscape / layout of your aquascape. For me, an Aquascape should have stone and wood, giving you the impression of a more natural and allows you to create a focal point of the aquascape. Please plants adapted to hardscape. The stones do not spread throughout the aquarium, but make combination and give the maximum depth for the layout. Beware height of stone, if you put a small stone that is not covered by plants, rocks that are too big not give effect to the desired depth.
STEP SIX:
Plant selection must be done according to the size and layout of the layout. For this layout I chose small plants because of the size of a mini aquarium. Use tweezers to facilitate the planting process. For plants in small portions and then plug it into the substrate / sand. Separation plant in small portions and evenly will make the plant more quickly spread than planted in large quantities at a certain point. If you have finished planting water contents slowly so hardscape not damaged.
Once fully charged water tank must look cloudy and dull wait 1x24 for menjernikan water and turn on the filter for water purifier.
